Location & GPS Data:

Real-time location while on duty, pickup and drop-off points, and route information to facilitate deliveries and ensure safety.

Operational Data:

Order acceptance/rejection history, delivery completion records, ratings/reviews, attendance (online/offline status), and performance metrics.

Device & Technical Data:

Device identifiers, IP address, app usage statistics, crash logs, and communication records with customers, support, or vendors.

2. How We Use Driver Information

1. To verify and onboard you as a driver on the Katchit platform.
2. To facilitate deliveries, assign orders, and track completion.
3. To process payments and settlements for completed deliveries.
4. To communicate with you regarding orders, performance, updates, and promotions.
5. To monitor service quality and improve driver and customer experience.
6. To ensure safety and compliance with laws and regulations.
7. To analyze performance data for incentives, rewards, or dispute resolution.
8. To prevent fraud, misuse, or violations of platform policies.

3. Sharing of Information

With Customers: Limited details such as driver’s name, photo, and contact (masked phone number) for order delivery.

With Vendors (Restaurants/Stores): Driver’s name, phone number, and vehicle details for order handover and coordination.

With Payment Partners: Bank details and transaction data for secure settlements.

With Service Providers: Background verification agencies, logistics support, and technology vendors under confidentiality obligations.

For Legal Compliance: With authorities if required by law, regulation, or valid request.

Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or restructuring of Katchit.

We do not sell or rent driver personal data for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as you are an active driver on our platform or as required by law (e.g., for tax, accounting, and regulatory purposes). If you deactivate your account, we will delete or anonymize your information, except where legal retention is necessary.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption, secure servers, access controls) to protect your information. However, no system is fully secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

7. Location Data & Tracking

The Katchit Driver App requires real-time location tracking to assign deliveries, provide navigation, ensure customer and driver safety, and calculate distance-based payouts.

1. Location is collected only when you are logged in and set to “Online.”
2. Background tracking continues during active deliveries to complete the service.
3. If you log out or set status to “Offline,” tracking is stopped.

8. Cookies & Technical Data

Our app may use cookies, local storage, and analytics tools to:

• Improve app performance and driver experience.
• Detect fraud or unusual activity.
• Monitor service demand and optimize order assignments.

You may control some preferences via device or browser settings, but certain features may not function properly without technical data.
